Thanks!
Thanks to everyone who downloaded and spread the word about my book, Over an Ageless Yesterday. It looks like 192 people took advantage of the freebie over the last few days! It peaked at #19 in ghost stories but has now settled back to #70 with the price bump.
And, of course, you can still get it: Over an Ageless Yesterday (only $2.99, or still FREE if you’re an Amazon Prime member).
Look for the next giveaway in a few months!
Free book! And a correction.
Two quick updates: My collection of short stories, Over an Ageless Yesterday, is FREE today through December 29 for Kindle via amazon.com. Help me get to #1!
Also, at the end of that collection I mention that Graveworm Press will be publishing my first novel, Unknown North, in December 2011. I’m afraid that didn’t happen for a variety of reasons. If Graveworm Press does publish it, it won’t be until summer 2012 at the earliest. I apologize for the confusion… Feel free to drop me a line and let me know what you think of me for it (but hopefully it all makes sense soon enough).
As Alive, So Dead
The first book Mary Ann Winkowski and I wrote together is finally back in print!

As Alive, So Dead
is a collection of memoirs by a woman with a unique ability: she can see and talk to ghosts. Because of this, she is able to write a book that shows the human side of the paranormal—stories about ghosts told from the perspectives of the ghosts themselves. Recounting the stories of those who have died in a variety of ways, As Alive, So Dead
looks at death through the eyes of the victims of murder, suicide, and accident, as well as glimpses into the afterlife of Native Americans, patients kept alive on life-support, and even animals. Far from the sensationalized tales of most ghost lore, As Alive, So Dead
presents real stories of troubled people—both the living and the dead—not simply the terror of sinister manifestations. As Alive, So Dead is a lesson on death and the immortality of the spirit that only someone who can actually speak with the deceased could teach. Originally published in 2000 with a limited run, As Alive, So Dead
sold out immediately and had been out of print ever since.
The second edition of As Alive, So Dead
has been reformatted for better readability and includes the last names of Mary Ann and her ghostwriter, David Powers, who previously left their last names off the book and published it simply as Mary Ann and David Christopher.

Over an Ageless Yesterday
My first short story collection is now available in paperback and for Kindle:

“Over an Ageless Yesterday” is a collection of the short stories you’ve seen on this site, only presented here in their final, corrected form. These are the “official” versions of the tales, hopefully with all the typos, inconsistencies, and annoying turns of phrase removed.
In this collection of 11 stories, the wind blows strange creatures to the forest floor in the woods of Ohio, a haunted painting brings its subject to life, the complete history of a haunted house is exposed, and a man is forced to come to terms with who he really is…
It’s perfect reading for Halloween!
